Ladder Putting Drill

  Set up a line of five tees or coins three feet apart up to 15 feet away from the hole. Set up an additional tee or coin three feet past the hole. Start putting between six and nine feet away, practicing rolling the ball to no more than three feet past the hole. This is a great drill for distance control. Ideally, you should leave yourself no more than a tap-in.


Tempo-Distance Putting Drill

  Set up seven tees or coins six inches apart. Place the ball at the middle tee or coin. Hit putts swinging the putter head between the inside set of tees or coins, then the middle set of tees or coins, and finally the farthest set of tees or coins while trying to maintain a consistent tempo.
