Q: What’s a CHICAGO?

A: A gross event in which each player tries to exceed an allocated point quota based on his handicap. Points are scored as follows:

Bogey = 1 pt.
Par = 2 pts.
Birdie = 4 pts.
Eagle = 8 pts.

The player whose point total exceeds his quota, or comes closest to it if no one exceeds it, wins the tournament. The player’s point quota is allocated according to the following handicap criteria:

Handicap 1 (or less) = 38
Handicap 2 = 37
Handicap 3 = 36
Handicap 4 = 35
Handicap 5 = 34
