I guess it’s Todd Sones week on danbubanygolf.com! On Tuesday, Todd joined Paige Mackenzie on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive to discuss why golfers push and pull putts. Then later in the day, Todd and his staff sent out an email blast about reading greens.

I’m on the email list, and when Todd sends them out, I like to re-post them on my web site if I can because they’re usually accompanied by a video. Todd is a putting a short game guru – and now a Golf Channel Academy Lead Instructor as well! The only problem is, his videos are time sensitive, and they go away after a few days unless your an Impact Golf Member. It’s a smoking deal. For less than $25, you can get exclusive access to Todd’s complete library of over 100 videos, including 20 videos on the different aspects of putting. Todd is one of Golf Digest’s 50 Best Teachers in America. He’s been a Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor every year since 1995 and serves on the Golf Academy of America’s National Advisory Board.

At his Scoring Zone schools outside Chicago, Todd covers everything from putting to short game.

It’s been a busy week for Todd. Rumor has it he was in Alabama over the 4th of July weekend before heading to Orlando for Tuesday’s in-studio appearance on Golf Channel. The guy has to go back to Chicago eventually right? After all, there’s another Scoring Zone school this Saturday.

At his schools, Todd teaches golfers to roll the ball straight and control distance before reading greens and aligning to the target. But how do you find your start line, and what do you do when you find it? Turns out green reading can be simple: find your line, commit to it, and then forget about it.
