After careful consideration, I am proud to announce that I have accepted an Assistant Golf Professional position at La Paloma Country Club and will be working under Head Golf Professional Mark Thesing, PGA, beginning later this month. La Paloma is a 27-hole Troon Prive’ facility “nestled into the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains” in northwest Tucson.
Will Wilcox’s hole-in-one with a pitching wedge from 147 yards out was the 1st ace at TPC Sawgrass’ iconic 17th hole (and just the 7th in Players Championship history) since Miguel Angel Jimenez in 2002, a span of exactly 6,300 tee shots.
