Tiger Woods announced Wednesday on his website tigerwoods.com that he won’t be returning to competitive golf until his game is “tournament ready.” Said Woods, “Right now, I need a lot of work on my game, and to spend time with the people that are important to me. My play, and scores, are not acceptable for tournament golf.”

After a discussion of the 26 individual parameters that the TrackMan launch monitor measures, our Golf Fundamentals class discussion shifted to the principles of the golf swing. There are a total of 14 principles. Of those 14 principles, there are three pre-swing principles: grip, aim, and set-up or GAS for short. The three grips are the
