One of the programs students have access to while attending the Golf Academy is the V1 Golf App. Founded in 1995, V1 Sports is a sports motion analysis and digital media technology company specializing in the development of video analysis software and advertising vehicles for online and mobile device applications.
It’s the No. 1 video analysis software in sports, and the Golf App specifically, helps us diagnose a golfer’s swing flaws. We’re talking everything from ball and eye position to static and dynamic balance and swing plane. V1 allows you to capture, compare, and improve your golf swing on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Then, after you record and analyze your swing, you can compare it, side-by-side, to V1 Golf’s library of Tour Professionals, including the likes of Tiger Woods (when he was still good) and Ernie Els.
Giving students access to their app is a great marketing strategy by V1 because when we graduate, we’ll already be familiar with the platform and will want to take it with us to the golf course or practice facility where we’ll be teaching. And it’s a lot more cost effective than a TrackMan launch monitor system – starting price $25,000. You can even give a lesson online and then email your video and audio analysis to your student.
