When Phil Mickelson plays at Pebble Beach, he marks his golf ball with a silver dollar that belonged to his grandfather, one of the original caddies at the Links when it opened back in 1919. At every other tournament, Mickelson uses a replica of the coin.
Good for Rickie Fowler! After a ruling (Rule 9.3) on the Par-4 11th hole that resulted in a triple-bogey, Fowler holds off Branden Grace to win the Phoenix Open that’s eluded him two out of the previous three years.
